Belfast Zoo run an annual photographic competition and as a result offer several sessions when club photographers can gain free entry outside of normal opening hours. Some of the members recently took advantage of this and visited the Zoo on the evening of Friday 5th August after closing or on the morning of Saturday 13th prior to opening, with some intrepid members attending both. It was a great opportunity to wander around without the usual crowds and avoid the many reflections on the enclosures which can be such a problem.
