On Tuesday 3rd February we had our 2nd club competition of the year.
This was the Photo Essay competition for the Stanley Matchett Trophy, a full description and rules can be found here.
This year we had a 9 photo essays on the board and Stanley himself came along to judge it for us. His wife Maureen came along with him. Stanley commented on all the essays and then choose his first place. Congratulations to Louise on her fabulous nature essay “Life Cycle of the Red Admiral butterfly (Vanessa Atalanta)”.
After the tea break Stanley showed us some of his own boards and explained how he thought some of ours could be improved.
