The new season for the CPA will start on Tuesday 8th September at 7:45pm, at the Morton Community Centre, Lorne Street. This will be our 110th year.
The committee have been hard at work organising an exciting programme (download here). Once again we will be sticking with the practical, hands-on approach which worked so well in previous years.
As well as the usual NIPA and club competitions, we have member interactive Photoshop post processing nights, in house presentations on Print & PDI preparation and monitor/projector calibration (using the clubs new i1display pro).
We have changed the format of our practical nights (where you can learn the more intricate settings of your camera) to include themed sessions rather than just models, check out the programme. Our first one on the 15th September, will be dedicated to beginners.
We have lined up several top class external speakers, Chris Ibbotson, Damien McDonald, John Miskelly and Alan Cranston. From our own club we have Ossie Bruce, Louise Borbely and Ernie Patterson. We’ve also arranged 5 top judges to judge the NIPA rounds.
I am looking forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 8th Sep for an informal evening of introductions, a look at the programme in more detail, a presentation on the Royal Photographic Society by Damien McDonald and the usual tea and chat.
