Last Tuesday we had Ernie give us one of his digital workshops.
As usual Ernie gave us an insight into the world of photography that we as club photographers’ don’t necessarily get to see.
He showed us images captured by the Mars Rover Curiosity vehicle and supplied us with 3D glasses to allow us to appreciate the wonderful effect that these show.
He continued by looking at focus stacking, a request from members earlier in the year and showed how this simple procedure can dramatically increase depth of field.
He finish off by looking at things like correcting converging verticals in building, a point raised by Donal McCann while judging our RD4 the week before, and whether or not to crop an image to help to improve its composition.
Many thanks Ernie.
