Print Battle – CPA vs City of Belfast Photographic Society

On Tuesday 13th April we had our annual print battle with City of Belfast Photographic Society. It was the turn of CoB to host the event and they invited Martin Spackman along to judge.

Each club brought along 20 mono and 20 colour prints and Martin commented on all 80 images, scoring each out of 10.

At the end of the mono round CPA were ahead by 20 points, and widened the gap by a further 20 points after the colour round.

The final scores were as follows:

Mono
CPA – 168
CoB – 148

Colour
CPA – 184
CoB – 164

Overall
CPA – 352
CoB – 312

Our thanks to Honor, Peter and the guys at CoB for hosting an entertaining evening, and to Martin for all his very constructive comments.

Thanks are also due to the CPA members who made their prints available for selection for the print battle. We saw a large number of them score 9s and 10s which was very heartening. Well done everyone.
