On Tuesday 3rd May the members who took part in the CPA trip to Iceland in February presented their work both to the club and to invited guests. Ossie showed a film from the road trip along with images taken by his family – Lorraine, Rachel and Robert all accompanied him on the trip. John also had a short timelapse movie and both he and Steve discussed their projected images. Their wives, Yvonne and Kim, both travelled to Iceland. After a break for tea and buns it was Louise’s turn to talk about her images. She was joined in Iceland by her husband Wayne and son Louis. Next up was Vittorio, and as time was running short he kept his discussion brief but mentioned that his images are available on his website should anyone wish to view them (see link). Vittorio also showed a presentation prepared by Chelle, who was unable to attend due to illness, showing images of the group at work and play and some of the extreme weather conditions encountered on the trip.
Club trips are always good fun and this one was certainly an experience – stunning scenery, extreme driving and good friends. Hopefully our members who haven’t taken part in the club trips in the past will be inspired to come along next year. Suggestions are already being made for a destination so watch this space!
