NIPA Novice Competition

Saturday 8th April saw the 2017 NIPA Novice Competition held at The Fountain Centre in Bangor with entries submitted from five of our novice members. We’re delighted to report that, following on from Robert Sergeant’s win last year in the PDI section, both the Mono and the Colour sections went to CPA members this year.

In the Mono Print section, Steve Haydon won with Cowboy Style and William Allen had a Highly Commended with Hall of Learning.

In the Colour Print section, Chelle McGaughey won with Puffin on Clifftop, William Allen took 2nd place with Old Farm House and Chelle also had a Highly Commended with A Slice of Light.

In the PDI section, Chelle had a Highly Commended with A Splash of Colour.

The three top images then competed for overall winner, with Chelle’s puffin chosen as Top Image.

Once again, of the thirteen clubs that entered, the winning images all came from only a few clubs so it was great to see CPA so dominant. Thank you to all our novices who submitted entries and helped make the Novice such a great competition this year.
