On Tuesday 11th October we had a fascinating demonstration of Painting with Light by Damian McDonald. Damian set up a lovely table-top still life and demonstrated the technique by taking a series of 15 second exposures while moving a light continuously over one object at a time. The exposures were then brought together as individual layers in Photoshop and blended together. The result was a beautiful image with soft lighting coming from different directions, subtly highlighting each individual object to its best effect. Many thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, Damian, and I know that several members couldn’t wait to get home and try it out for themselves.
