On Tuesday 5th April CPA welcomed Alan Cranston from Carrickfergus Camera Club. Alan took us on a journey beneath the waves as he discussed his diving in the Red Sea and in the waters off Malta, Tenerife, the Maldives and Ireland. His skill at underwater photography is renowned and his images have been seen on the NIPA circuit and at the Roy Finlay Memorial Natural History Competition where Alan had not only the top image this year but also placed images. His photographs of this underwater world were stunning and the members were impressed not only with his technical knowledge but with his knowledge of the natural history he encounters on his dives.
